Spiced Pumpkin Sugar Scrub

Whip up a batch of this in your kitchen and you’ll have your skin feeling silky smooth this Autumn! Sugar scrubs are quite exfoliating and moisturizing to the skin. Scrubs can be applied to most areas of the body and are especially beneficial to the hands and feet. Use 1 tablespoon as needed. To smooth rough areas gently press the sugar granules in the body scrub in a circular motion and rinse. Check our recipe for homemade Pumpkin Spice too!

Honey Lavender Sugar Scrub Cubes

We love to use sugar scrubs on our hands after working in the garden or slicing up onions in the kitchen. Our Lavender Lemon Sugar Scrub is quite handy to have in a jar at your kitchen sink. Although, we’ve found it be inconvenient for the shower. Thus the making of sugar scrub cubes! They are the perfect size for the shower and simple enough to make. Share an irresistible sweet treat with your friends that won’t add to the waist line! Fill a mason jar with a handful rich exfoliating Honey Lavender sugar scrub cubes.

SUPPLIES:

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unscented soap, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
  • Ice cube tray or other tray mold

DIRECTIONS:

In a microwave safe bowl, combine coconut oil and shredded soap. Microwave mixture on high at 20 second intervals, stirring in between approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Continue until soap is melting.

Remove from microwave and add brown sugar, honey, and lavender. Stir to combine. Spoon sugar scrub mixture into tray molds. Place in freezer to firm and set for 1 half hour.
When set remove from freezer and pop each sugar cube out. Store sugar cubes in a sealed container. Yields: 8 to 12 sugar scrub cubes.

To Use: Place sugar scrub in hand and crush under warm water. Scrub to smooth skin.
