Set the fall table with one of a kind napkins made by hand!
- 1 yard scrap fabric
- handful of dry fall leaves
- paint brush
- brayer (optional)
- sewing thread
- sewing machine
- acrylic paint
- wax paper
Cut fabric into a 16 1/2 x 16 1/2 inch square. Fold and iron the edges over 1/4 of an inch. Fold again and iron once more so the raw edge is inside. Work clockwise all the way around.
Open up each ironed corner, and cut the top triangle off. Fold the top edge down and iron again. Repeat in all 4 corners. Stitch all the way around the napkin to secure.
Brush paint on the back side of a leaf. Stamp the leaf onto the napkin. Lay a piece of wax paper of the leaf. Carefully, press the leaf down on all edges with your hands or roll across with a brayer. Let dry 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Repeat all steps to create a set of 4 napkins
