Our Hand Warming Hearts are great for your pockets on a cold day. They provide some arthritis relief anytime of the year!
- white sewing thread
- 4 cups uncooked rice
- 1/4 yard white felt or fabric scrap
- sewing needle
- heart pattern template
- 8.5 x11 white paper
Print and cut heart pattern. Trace the heart pattern onto your felt or fabric. Trace 8 hearts total.
Cut out all 8 hearts. Place the right sides together, with the wrong side facing out. Hand stitch around the hearts leaving a small opening for turning. Turn each heart right-side out. Use a pencil or turning stick to help you push out the points. Fill each heart with 1/2 Cup to 1 Cup of rice. Whip stitch the opening closed.
Heat one heart for 1 minute in a microwave oven on high. The rice will hold the heat for up 20 minutes.
